A dark romantic comedy set in New York. A young man's (Andrew McCarthy) practical joke goes wrong leaving him pinned to a kitchen table by a Samurai sword, and his girlfriend (Elizabeth Pena) wondering how it happened. With her friend (Paige Turco) and her women's support group (led by Alison Janney) she pieces the clues together.
