Third Star

THIRD STAR is a story of four young men, friends since childhood, who take an ill-advised camping trip to the farthest reaches of the beautiful West Wales coast. It’s an exciting, often hilarious adventure, but one of the friends James is seriously ill and in addition to the over ambitious amount of luggage, he soon discovers that you don’t realise you are carrying too much until it starts to weigh you down.

A Western Edge Pictures Production in association with Memory Box Films with the Film Agency for Wales and Matador Pictures in association with Cinema One, Regent Capital and BBC Wales

Reviews

4* The Times The story's ending is uplighting as well as emotionally devastating: the audience sat in stunned silence afterwards

Screen Daily Hattie Dalton certainly displays a great deal of talent and directs with a sure hand, making most of the breathtaking Pembrokeshire locations, and drawing out restrained and moving performances from the four leads

The Daily Telegraph Cumberbatch keeps sentimentality at bay, and the ending is almost unbearably poignant
